BY COMBINING ARTS LEARNING WITH LEARNING IN OTHER AREAS, STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD THEIR ACADEMIC SKILLS AS WELL AS THEIR SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS, ARTS TEACHERS AND TEACHING ARTISTS IS A CORE COMPONENT OF ALL PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS. CAPE BELIEVES THAT BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF EDUCATORS IS ESSENTIAL FOR LONG-TERM SUCCESS AND SUSTAINABILITY. RESEARCHING THE IMPACT OF ARTS EDUCATION ON STUDENT LEARNING, TEACHER DEVELOPMENT AND SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT - CAPE IS A CAPACITY-BUILDINGORGANIZATION THAT IS CONTINUALLY LEARNING AND INCORPORATING NEW STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL STUDENTS. EACH CAPE PROGRAM INITIATIVE INCLUDES A SUBSTANTIAL RESEARCH AND EVALUATION COMPONENT DESIGNED TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF PARTICIPANTS. CAPE HAS BROUGHT A NEW LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING AND INNOVATION TO THE FIELD OF LEARNING THROUGH THE ARTS.
