In furtherance of its charitable and educational goals, the Network's activities consist primarily of providing educational opportunities for its members and the public on issues related to the advancement of women in the workplace. As the preeminent Organization for Chicago's leading professional women, the Network encourages connection with each other for personal and professional growth; advancement of civic, business and philanthropic communities: and inspiration and support the next generation of women leaders.

Woman in Forefront Luncheon (WIFL). This is The Network's Hallmark event. This annual luncheon, open to members and non-members alike, features keynote speakers discussing their experiences and achievements. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Woman in Forefront Luncheon which was originally scheduled for June 2020 was delayed until October 2020 and other special events were cancelled.Note: All WIFL contributions received in FY2020 were deferred to FY2021.
The Future Leaders Program offers female college students at local universities an opportunity to gain exposure to different professional career paths. The program is designed to cultivate future women leaders by providing multiple perspectives on careers in the for-profit and non-profit sectors through shadowing opportunities at Network members organizations. During these visits, participants learn about the host company and its sector, interact with employees at all levels and learn about the skills, abilities and education necessary to achieve their future career goals. Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this program was virtual.
