Organizations Filed Purposes:
A non-profit organization that empowers youth residing on the South-side of Chicago by offering education programs to gain hard skills within Construction, Tourism, and Community Leadership.
During the course of a 6 month program provided by the organization, 30 students received the OSHA 10 Certification to be able to work entry level construction jobs. During the 6-month program, the students participated in several classes which taught them life skills, including but not limited to, financial literacy, communication, customer service, and workforce-readiness (professional etiquette, time management, etc.).In addition, the students completed 300 service hours on the Southside of Chicago. The activities performed within the services hours include, but are not limited to, local community clean-up of pavements, streets, parks, and participation within the toys for tots program.
