VOYCE DEFINES ITS EFFORTS AS STUDENT-LED, BASED ON THE CORE BELIEF THAT THE RECIPIENTS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, THE STUDENTS THEMSELVES, NEED TO BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF EFFORTS TO ADVANCE EDUCATION EQUITY.. VOYCE EXPENSES INCLUDE HIGH SCHOOL REFORM PROGRAM ACTIVITY. THE SAFE SCHOOLS CONSORTIUM IS A MULTI-STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATIVE AIMED AT ADVANCING POLICY AND PRACTICE TO CREATE RESTORATIVE SCHOOL CLIMATES IN CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
EDUCATION ORGANIZING: THE ORGANIZATION'S EDUCATION ORGANIZING IS CENTERED AROUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF PARENT LEADERSHIP TO IMPACT ISSUES OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT AND EDUCATION JUSTICE SUCH AS RESOURCES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOLS, ENSURING ALL STUDENTS ARE ON A PATH TO COLLEGE, OVERCROWDING RELIEF, AND MORE.
PROJECT Y/BIKES N' ROSES: PROJECT Y IS THE ORGANIZATION'S YOUTH ORGANIZING AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE WHICH WAS FORMED IN JANUARY 2001 TO PROVIDE A VEHICLE FOR YOUTH TO MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD, DEVELOP THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AND ACHIEVE SYSTEMIC YOUTH-LED SOCIAL CHANGE ON A RANGE OF ISSUES. WHILE ISSUES RANGE FROM YEAR TO YEAR, THEY INCLUDE POSITIVE YOUTH INVESTMENT, HEALTH ACCESS, IMMIGRANT RIGHTS, AND MORE. BIKES N' ROSES IS A YOUTH-LED BICYCLE COOPEATIVE THAT WORKS TO PROMOTE YOUTH LEADERSHIP, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, BIKE SAFETY, AND BIKE ADVOCACY.
