TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE DESIGN EDUCATION AND TO FOSTER PUBLIC APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF ALL ASPECTS OF DESIGN, INCLUDING FASHION DESIGN, VISUAL ARTS, STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND THE HISTORY OF DESIGN, IN THE FURTHERANCE OF AN EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE.

Driehaus design initiative organized and operated the 18th annual driehaus awards for fashion excellence fashion show. the fashion show provides a "real life" educational experience for the students, encourages and highlights creative and innovative fashion design, encourages students to continue working in and advancing fashion design and fosters public appreciation of innovative fashion design. the proceeds from the fashion show event benefited three educational institutions and one museum.
