Garfield Counseling Center is dedicated to creating an environment where individuals are self-sufficient, responsible, and productive members of the community. This environment is created by providing unique programs and specialized services (continued on Schedule O) that meet the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) placement and treatment requirements. Treatment interventions are educational and are designed to meet the basic needs of clients and their families.The mission is accomplished by providing a wholesome therapeutic and social environment treatment; Utilization of the most effective intervention and prevention methods; Providing counseling and referral services that are convenient for families of clients; Cultivating clients' positive cultural identity in the community; Being an advocate for creative solutions to the problems of substance abuse; Strengthening relationships with other community entities such as churches, schools, businesses, and social agencies.
Drug and alcohol abuse and addiction counseling center
Outpatient Programs - Administers drug and alcohol treatment programs that includes medication maintenance, counseling and other supportive services for 700 to 800 individuals.
Other programs including counseling and supportive services to adult HIV/AIDS patients.
