THE SLAM PROGRAM CREATES THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT FOR MENTORS TO CONNECT WITH YOUTH BY OFFERING HIGH-ENERGY GAMES, BIBLE TEACHING, AND ONE-ON-ONE MENTORSHIP DISCUSSION TIME. ALSO, GRIP, THE SCHOOL, INITIATIVE EMPOWERS VOLUNTEER MENTORS TO SERVE UNDER-RESOURCED CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND CONNECTS THEM WITH AT-RISK YOUTH TO BUILD LIFE-ON-LIFE RELATIONSHIPS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS RESOURCES TO EQUIP MENTORS TO BUILD DEEPER LIFE-ON-LIFE RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH TRAINING RETREATS. THESE PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES ARE ALL CREATED TO LEAD MENTORS TO DEEP LIFE-ON-LIFE RELATIONSHIPS WITH AT-RISK YOUTH.
