ADDITIONALLY PHIMC WORKS STATEWIDE EDUCATING INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS ON THE ILLINOIS HELPLINE ON OPIOIDS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES.
REGIONAL IMPLEMENTATION GROUP FOR REGION 8 (RIG8) PHIMCS HIV PREVENTION INITIATIVES RIG 8 ALLOCATES NEARLY $1.9 MILLION IN FEDERAL AND STATE HIV PREVENTION FUNDS TO 16 PARTNER AGENCIES IN SUBURBAN COOK COUNTY FOR HIGH IMPACT, TARGETED PREVENTION INITIATIVES. PHIMC SERVES AS THE LEAD AGENCY, ENSURING SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF HIGH QUALITY AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS BY BUILDING CAPACITY, MONITORING AND REPORTING DATA, FACILITATING AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND LEADING THE COMMUNITY PLANNING PROCESS FOR THE REGION.
HEALTH JUSTICE - PHIMC'S COMMUNITY REENTRY PROJECT PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH AND AT HIGH RISK FOR HIV AS THEY TRANSITION FROM INCARCERATION TO COMMUNITY. THROUGH THIS PROJECT, PHIMC PROVIDES TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE TARGET POPULATION.
