Purple Asparagus envisions a world where every child, every family and every community enjoy good health and a healthy planet through a diet high in fruits, vegetables and whole grains.In the 2018-19 school year, over 1,100 students in 16 Chicagoland schools received Purple Asparagus' nutrition education program, Delicious Nutritious Adventures. Over 75% of participants came from low-income families and 83% were non-white. During the 2018-2019 school year, across all programming, Purple Asparagus served over 2,800 children, 350 families, 16 schools, and 28 community sites.
