Organizations Filed Purposes: TRP BUILDS RELATIONSHIPS AND CHALLENGES INDIVIDUALS TO ACT ON THEIR FAITH AND VALUES BY CREATING COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP, BUILDING COMMUNITY WEALTH AND SERVING AS STEWARDS OF COMMUNITY ASSETS.

THE RESURRECTION PROJECT CREATES HEALTHY COMMUNITIES BY INVESTING IN NEIGHBORHOODS AND THEIR PEOPLE. WE BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE A COMMUNITY'S MOST IMPORTANT ASSET.

COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP: PROGRAMS AWAKENS INDIVIDUAL'S SENSE OF OWNERSHIP AND PRIDE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, ENABLING RESIDENTS TO BE AGENTS OF CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, SCHOOLS, AND PARISHES. TRP DEVELOPS IN INDIVIDUALS THE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND TOOLS TO BE CONFIDENT, ENGAGED RESIDENTS. THROUGH COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH ACCESS AND NAVIGATION, AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, TRP'S COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP PROGRAMS ENGAGED OVER 2,500 INDIVIDUALS IN ORGANIZING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH, AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN 2019. TRP'S ELLAS (EN LA LUCHA A SOBREVIVIR OR IN THE FIGHT TO SURVIVE) PROGRAM REACHED 570 WOMEN THROUGH ONE-ON-ONE EDUCATION AND PROVIDED 395 REFERRALS FOR MAMMOGRAM AND CERVICAL CANCER SCREENINGS. TRP INCORPORATED HOPE FAMILY SERVICES INTO ITS OPERATIONS IN 2018. IN 2019, HOPE PROVIDED COMPREHENSIVE, TRAUMA-INFORMED SERVICES TO 1,178 WOMEN EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. TRP CONTINUES TO SERVE AS THE LEAD AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF CHICAGO LEGAL PROTECTION FUND COMMUNITY NAVIAGTOR PROGRAM THAT REACHED 26,379 IMMIGRANTS WITH "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" TRAININGS. IN ADDITION, TRP ASSISTED 1,108 IMMIGRANTS WITH IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES INCLUDING DACA, ASYLUM, ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS, CITIZENSHIP, AND DEPORTATION DEFENSE.

COMMUNITY WEALTH BUILDING: OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE BILINGUAL FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND COUNSELING. TRP'S COMMUNITY WEALTH BUILDING PILLAR INCREASES LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME FAMILIES' KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO MAKE HEALTHY FINANCIAL DECISIONS, BUILDING CREDIT AMONG TRADITIONALLY UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS, AND SHRINKING THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP THROUGH HOMEOWNERSHIP. SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2019 INCLUDED PROVIDING 1,233 HOUSEHOLDS WITH ONE-ON-ONE FINANCIAL AND HOMEOWNERSHIP COUNSELING; CREATING 122 NEW HOMEOWNERS, GENERATING $30M IN COMMUNITY WEALTH; AND SAVING 59 HOMES FROM FORECLOSURE. TRP FUNDED 16 SECOND MORTGAGE LOANS THROUGH ITS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTION (CDFI), TRP LENDING, LLC, TOTALING $541,125. TRP ALSO SECURED $125,000 IN DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE FOR TRP LENDING BORROWERS.

STEWARDSHIP OF COMMUNITY ASSETS: FOSTERS THE PRESERVATION AND CREATION OF BALANCED COMMUNITIES BY DEVELOPING PROJECTS AND POLICIES THAT COMBAT HOUSING DISPLACEMENT OF UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. TRP PROVIDED AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING TO 856 PERSONS IN 2019 AND ADVANCED A NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN PILSEN THAT WILL OFFER 37 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING. TRP ALSO COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION ON GADS HILL'S NEW 18,000-SQUARE-FOOT EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER IN BRIGHTON PARK.
