To bring together the best of our city to build a path for families to walk from cradle to career to the glory of God.
Dreambuilders Children's Programs build foundational skills and cast vision for career through summer and after-school wholistic programs for grades K-8. In 2019, Dreambuilders served 104 children with programs offering safe haven during summer, after school, and the Chicago Public Schools strike.
Citybuilders apprenticeships train youth & young adults ages 12-22 in workplace skills and perseverance through the trade of tuckpointing. Citybuilders apprenticeships operate in two components: classroom training, for which youth earn a stipend, and hands-on community service, providing sliding-scale tuckpointing to local homeowners and partners. In 2019, R CITY apprenticed 68 youth, 60 in the trade of tuckpointing. 87% of summer youth successfully completed their apprenticeships, showing mastery on final evaluation.
Peacebuilders Print Shop & Art Shop use art & screenprinting to build peace with self & others through the creative process. In 2019, seven Peacebuilders students produced over 212 pieces of clothing, all screenprinted by hand.
