To provide underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities by taking students on explorations focused on STEM, Arts and Culture, Citizenry and Volunteerism, Health, Community Development, Culinary Arts, and Entrepreneurism.
Explorers Program takes teenagers from schools in low social economic status neighborhoods on educational explorations. They receive a firsthand glimpse into different cultures and careers, people and businesses.
One Block at a Time Program - promotes community service and advocacy within the 77 neighborhoods in Chicago with a grassroots approach. Some of the initiatives include: training and sponsoring 25 block clubs including new signage; Senior snow shoveling with volunteers; Be A Part of the Light - providing holiday decorations.
