Organizations Filed Purposes:
The South Side Fire Soccer Club is a not-for-profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes which is dedicated to expanding recreational and competitive soccer opportunities for children on the south side of Chicago. South Side Fire's primary purposes are (i) to facilitate, promote and support the growth of youth soccer through developmental instruction and the establishment and operation of recreational and competitive youth soccer teams, (ii) to provide a positive experience for all participants by promoting, teaching and fostering the personal character traits of sportsmanship, self-esteem, self-discipline and perseverance and (iii) to provide opportunities for children in underserved and underprivileged communities with the opportunity to become involved in organized sports.
Provide high quality competitive and recreational soccer programming for approximately 150 children. Approximately 25% of these children receive significant financial aid awards to support their participation in these programs.
