TO SUPPORT OUR SENIOR NEIGHBORS WHO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY. WE CONNECT COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS WITH SENIORS WHO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE TO MAINTAIN THEIR DIGNITY AND QUALITY OF LIFE. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE OUR SERVICES AT NO COST TO THE SENIOR.
VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE NO COST SERVICES SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION, FRIENDLY VISITS, MINOR HOME REPAIRS, SHORT-TERM NON-MEDICAL RESPITE CARE AND HELP WITH SEASONAL YARD WORK.Senior Care Volunteer Network (SCVN) exists to address the challenges faced by our county seniors. Any senior 60+ is eligible to enroll for our no-cost services. SCVN does not limit services due to income status, although most of our seniors fall well below the HUD median family income level. The SCVN mission provides assistance and allows seniors to age and remain independent at home for as long and as safely as possible. We are able to accomplish this very important task by providing services at no-cost to seniors with the selfless support of over 250 direct service volunteers. PROVIDES UNSKILLED VOLUNTEER CARE AT NO COST TO SENIOR CITIZENS. THE AGENCY ASSISTED A TOTAL OF 1,579 UNIQUE SENIORS, PROVIDED 17,567 SERVICES WITH A TOTAL OF 19,982 VOLUNTEER HOURS OF CARE AND DROVE A TOTAL OF 152,340 MILES AND LOANED OUT 3,100 P
