Organizations Filed Purposes:
To build upon families' strengths, to empower parents and professionals to achieve the strongest possible outcomes for students with disabilities and to enhance the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities.
The organization is formed exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization will operate programs under federal and state grants to ensure that parents with disabled children receive training and and information to help enhance the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities.
To provide education and support to families of children with disabilities as well as to professionals in the field. In the fiscal year ended September 30, 2020, 1 conference, 18 trainings and 47 webinars were held throughout Illinois, reaching 1,435 professionals, 1,200 parents, and 184 youth. Additionally, 5,132 individual contacts were made with parents, 1,239 individual contacts were made with professionals, and 2 individual contacts were made with persons with disabilities.
