New Coast Foundation is organized to provide grants and support to organizations that have demonstrated a strong committment to promoting economic advancement for individuals and communities in the greater Chicagoland area, including but not limited to job training, job placement, education, and other charitable services that support the mission to improve communties by addressing issues fundamental to health and sustainability.

Funding priorities were intended to support the myriad ways organizations are addressing how poverty affects individuals, families, and communities throughout Chicago. Five interconnected impact areas had been identified where poverty was most visible and where intervention could have a profound impact on one's ability to achieve economic mobility. At the end of 2019, the Organization ceased operations.
