The organization was established to advance scientific research on food and fluid intake and its associated biological, psychological and social processes.The Society provides a multidisciplinary environment for the free exchange of ideas and information, and serves as a resource for scientific expertise and education on topics related to the study of ingestive behavior.
Planned the annual convention including scheduling over 200 oral and poster presentations covering items related to advancing scientific research on food and fluid intake and its associated biological, psychological and social processes. Unfortunately, in consideration of the health and safety of the members and the difficulty planning because of the many restrictions on individuals lives, the decision was made to cancel the convention.
