TO HUMANELY CONTROL THE POPULATION OF FERAL CATS IN LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THROUGH A TRAP, NEUTER AND RETURN PROGRAM.
1413 cats or kittens went through the Spay and Stay program. 82 feral cat caretakers were trained and 210 socialized kitten adoptions were coordinated. Spay and Stay also provided educational materials to the public and local government officials on humane feral cat management. Outside shelters were built at build events and distributed to caretakers. Volunteers participated in local community events and fundraisers.
