Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote the study of and the dissemination of knowledge about the history of economic thought.
Research into economics as a social science: Publisher of a quarterly journal entitled, "The Journal of the History of Economic Thought."
Research into economic as a social science: Held an annual conference attended by scholars from around the world, which was attended by (approximately) 200 scholars. We also jointly sponsor the Allied Social Science Associations Annual Meetings, with an estimated attendance of 13,000.
We provide grants to universities and research organizations, to support new initiatives promoting the history of economic thought, including conferences, the establishment of new historical archives, the creation of podcasts, and other such initiatives. We also have a Young Scholars Fund.
