Substantially all the assets of Samc, Inc. were sold in fiscal 1989. The St. Anthony Medical Center, Inc. retirement plan was amended effective March 31, 2012 in order to effectuate the termination and orderly liquidation of the plan. Franciscan Ministries was a defendant in a class action lawsuit filed in conjunction with the termination of and orderly liquidation of the plan. The parties reached a settlement of $4,000,000, which was paid in August 2019. The litigation settlement was recorded at June 30,2019 as litigation settlement.
