Organizations Filed Purposes: THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION PRESERVES THE MISSION OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, WHICH IS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES THEY SERVICE IN LOGAN COUNTY AND EASTERN MASON COUNTY, ILLINOIS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH SOLICITING DONOR FUNDS DESIGNATED FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, COMMUNITY HEALTH EDUCATION/OUTREACH PROGRAMS, AND ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.

A HEALTH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAM IS A MAJOR TENET OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION (ALHF) FUNDING. IN ORDER TO ENSURE A SUPPLY OF TALENTED HEALTHCARE WORKERS DOWN THE ROAD, ALHF HAS ESTABLISHED A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL GRANTS FROM $10,000 TO $30,000 TO LOCAL STUDENTS WITH COMMITMENTS TO RETURN TO THE HOSPITAL UPON GRADUATION. IN 2019, ALHF AWARDED 4 EDUCATIONAL GRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 EACH TO LOCAL NURSING STUDENTS. ALHF'S COMMUNITY HEALTH COLLABORATIVE HOUSES ALL COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVES THAT EXTEND OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL (ALMH). ITS VISION IS TO CREATE THE HEALTHIEST COMMUNITY IN THE NATION. CURRENT INITIATIVES INCLUDE THE ALMH MARKET PROVIDING ACCESS TO FRESH PRODUCE AND FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS TO ALL IN OUR COMMUNITY; THE COORDINATED APPROACH TO CHILD HEALTH (CATCH) PROGRAM PROMOTES HEALTHY EATING AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IMPACTING OVER 3,500 LOCAL STUDENTS; SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION EFFORTS; SUPPORTING THE MOSAIC PROGRAM WITH AN $85,000 GRANT THAT PROVIDES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSULTANTS IN SCHOOLS TO PROMOTE MENTAL HEALTH; SUPPORTING DISTRICT 27 TO MOVE ITS FIVE CAFETERIAS FROM FROZEN AND PROCESSED FOOD TO FRESH LOCAL FOOD BY PROVIDING OVER $165,000 IN GRANTS, $65,000 WAS PROVIDED TO THE LOGAN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS TO FUND A BATHROOM RENOVATION SERVING FARMERS MARKET CUSTOMERS AND FEATURING A LACATION SPACE, AND $60,000 SUPPORTING A LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EFFORT TO ADDRESS SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LINCOLN COLLEGE. ALHF ALSO HAS A FUND FOR ITS COLLEAGUES TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO FURTHER THEIR PROFESSIONAL CAREERS BY OBTAINING CERTIFICATION.

ALHF USES CHARITABLE GIFTS TO PURCHASE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FOR ALMH, WHICH IN THE PAST YEAR INCLUDED A PURCHASE OF A GE PORTABLE ACHILLES EXPII SYSTEM.

ALHF SHOWS CARE FOR ITS COMMUNITY THROUGH A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS. A SERVICE OF REMEMBERANCE HELPS FAMILIES DEAL WITH THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE. FINALLY, ALHF DONATES CHARITABLE FUNDS TO OUR SISTER ORGANIZATION, MEMORIAL HOME SERVICES, TO PAY FOR THE PAIN AND OTHER MEDICATIONS USED BY LOCAL HOSPICE PATIENTS.
