The mission of the organization is in support of the people of Bunamwerri Uganda.The organization operates a primary school. We also provide support for contiuing education of students who qualify. There is a health center with outreach to the community. Focus is pre and post-natal care, vaccinations and immediate care. We also train in job skills.
The organization supports the area of Bunamwerri, Uganda, Africa. Clean water, education, school, catholic church and infrstructure.
The organization supports St. Rafeal Junior School that serves the community. Construction on a new school builing was started in 2019 with direct grants fof 149,000. Addtional grants in 2020 continued the construction. Bulding is now complete. We currently have 230 students and expect to be able to expand opportunties for the community.
Our educational compound in Bunnamweri, Uganda is located in a relatively remote area that previously was not serviced by electricity. During 2020 the organiztion extended the electric grid to the area. Previously the operation ran on solar and power generators for power. Having reliable power for the school and health clinic has enabled us to operate more effectively. By extending the grid, this also enabled villagers to bring electricity into their homes not previously electrified. This is a game changer for our operation and the surrounding community.
A number of infrastructure improvements were made at the compound in Bunnamweri. A new well had to be dug for the compound. We added security fencing. The health clinic was expanded and outreach to the community was expanded. The addition of electricity allowed us to properly refrigerate vacines and other medicine. we had more than 20 babies born in our clinic during 2020. The school also added a number of safety features on the campus.
