Seniors Assistance Center provides necessary services to senior citizens of unincorporated Norwood Park Township, and the villages of Norridge and Harwood Heights. These services include home delivered meals, information and assistance, case management, income tax assistance, Medicare assistance, low-income energy assistance, Benefits Access, friendly visits, telephone reassurance, seminars, health screenings, education, congregate and home delivered meals, and assistance to low-income and limited-English speaking individuals.

The Seniors Assistance Center delivers meals Monday through Friday and also accommodates for second meals and weekend meals as needed. We also have the capability of providing pureed and mechanical soft diets. The meals are available to adults aged 60 and above who are homebound, isolated, and/or unable to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Our goal is to help these individuals remain independent and living in their own homes for as long as possible.
The Center offers congregate meals to adults aged 60 and above at a local restaurant on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. In addition to a hot, appetizing, and nutritious meal, the program provides socialization for its participants. Educational seminars or health screenings and social events are presented on a monthly basis.
The Home Energy Assistance program provides utilities assistance to low income individuals.
