ISSA industry communication with members - ISSA keeps members informed on the commercial cleaning industry on regulatory requirements and with advice on environmentally preferable products and processes, cleaning for human health, latest industry news, customer trends, management tips, legislative and regulatory updates and other valuable information through the premier website for commercial cleaning, www.issa.com, and a variety of print and online publications. The ISSA goal is to change the way the world views cleaning so that it recognizes the contribution of cleaning to human health. The association recommends and provides guidance on professional practices within the commercial cleaning industry and works toward creating greater awareness and respect of the "front line" commercial cleaning employees.
Reproductions and distribution of educational and training programs, regional educational workshops and seminars - ISSA develops an array of educational and training programs, and resources to help member companies and their employees with regulatory compliance, environmental recommendations and to help company management and employees with awareness of safety and best practices on cleaning for health, to help member firms develop the management, sales, operational and technical expertise necessary to provide quality service and achieve their business goals. Offerings include regional educational seminars, specialized workshops, industry data, training guides, business tools, books and videos.
In Sept. 2019, ISSA entered into a cooperative agreement with a third party for the purpose of creating the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a Division of ISSA (GBAC). GBAC is composed of international leaders in the field of microbial-pathogenic threat analysis, mitigation, response, and recovery; and provides training, guidance, certification, crisis management assistance, and leadership to government, commercial and private entities looking to mitigate, quickly address, and/or recover from biological threats and real-time crises. The organization's services include biorisk management program assessment and training, Forensic Restoration response and remediation, training and certification of individuals, accreditation of companies, and consulting for building owners and facility managers.
