Organizations Filed Purposes: To promote the sheet metal industry throughout the Chicagoland area, to provide support for the trade association of contractors and provide technical educational training

The Industry Fund provides funding to SMACNA Greater Chicago a local trade association, and the National Industry Fund to provide its members a collective voice in matters in which the interests of its members, the sheet metal industry, and the public may properly benefit; to promote sound labor relations through labor and management cooperation; to study and institute standards and practices in the Sheet Metal industry.

The Industry Fund, in an effort to promote industry safety practices, provides drug testing programs and educational materials for distribution to the contractors' employees, serving approximately 2000 union sheet metal workers employed by 192 contractors.

The Industry Fund provides its members with a joint series of Education Institute Seminars with the Mechanical Contractors Association.
