Organizations Filed Purposes:
The purpose and mission of Ballet Five Eight NFP is to engage in the creation and performance of dance from the unique perspective of our Christian faith, and to engage in dance education and outreach activities widely accessible to the communities we serve.
The creation and performance of new, abstract and narrative professional dance from the unique basis of our Christian faith; the development and creative exploration of the dancing artists, choreographers and composers of our day; and high-quality dance education that is accessible to students of all ages and levels of ability in a uniquely nurturing environment where students thrive.
School of the Arts pre-professional and recreational training programs: served over 300 students ages 3 through adult with accessible dance education and high-quality professional ballet training at three area campuses.
School of the Arts full-length productions (two annually): served 2,000 area individuals with accessible dance performance. Additionally, two showcases for recreational programs.
Professional company performances and advanced training: over 30 performances in Chicago and in 47 U.S. cities, providing over 16,750 individuals with access to high-quality, engaging dance performances; and advanced summer training and apprenticeship opportunities for 70 artists in training.
