Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide concerts of compelling professional symphonic music, support music education, and expand audience awareness of musical excellence for the diverse communities of the greater Chicago region.
Concerts - The Organization annually performs six Saturday evening classical concerts and a Holiday Pops matinee concert in December, along with four youth education concerts in May for approximately 4,000 Southland students. Over the summer months, the Organization also presents a series of five musician ensemble performances. During the 42nd Season, the Organization will perform six Saturday evening classical concerts, a Saturday afternoon holiday concert, and four youth education concerts in May for approximately 4,000 Southland students. All 2019 - 2020 season concerts will be held in Ozinga Chapel at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights. The Organization will also present its eighth season of Summer Music at its new venue Olympia Fields Country Club, a series of five musician ensemble performances.
Education and Engagement - The Organization maintains a strong commitment to education. Through a wide variety of engaging programs designed to meet the needs of students, teachers, and community members of all ages, the Organization strives to build a stronger community and impart its passion of music and the arts to others.
