Organizations Filed Purposes:
The primary mission of Global Impact is to equip people to grow, develop, and flourish in all aspects of life through mentoring, education and being living examples of disciplined followers of Christ.
Philippines Missions Base: EDUCATION & EMPOWERMENT: -31 students & 5 interns from the Phillipines grew in leadership skills during the 8-week intensive Catalyst Leadership Academy. Volunteers from USA and New Zealand also particpated. Bible, leadership, and personal development training are among the topics covered with both theoretical and practical learning experience that aim to grow participants intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. -400 youth and children attended Conquest Camps with experiential and fun learning activities designed for inspiration and life changing encounters with God; human trafficking prevention training is woven into the activities to equip children and youth with practical knowledge and skills to keep them safe. -Through the Higher Education scholarship program, 2 university students graduated this year, both with degrees in Elementary Education. Tuition and related costs were provided for 8 poor but deserving college students to give them an education that they would not otherwise be able to afford, enabling them to have a better chance in life. -Facilitated Team Building sessions at the University of Mindanao with 196 student leaders participating. Designed to empower and encourage young leaders to be a catalyst of great work ethics which brings fruitful results to impact their generation as well as to become pratical and effective leaders in their organization. ANTI-TRAFFICKING WORK: -Launched the full English and Visayan versions of the Bee Free curriculum designed to teach powerful life skills to keep children safe from exploitation, trafficking and abuse. Over 300 children attended the Bee Free Productions featuring 9 colorful mascots with a fun and interactive program aimed at ending child trafficking. -Freedom! Phillipines hosted and participated in various events and outreaches including 52 weeks of the radio program "OFW Helpdesk" broadcasting regionally and online throughout the Phillipines and internationally. This weekly radio program serves Overseas Filipino Workers and advocates against illegal recruitment. Through the radio program and social media platforms, an estimated 100,000 men, women and children were reached bringing education and awareness on the issue of human trafficking. Events included festivals, concerts, local celebrations, athletic events, presentations, trainings, poster making, relief and rehabilitation efforts and psychosocial activities. MISSIONS: -Hosted 22 guests from Bethal School of Supernatural Ministry. The trip's main goal is to experience and be exposed to mission field ministry. -Hosted 12 people from New Zealand, USA and Cambodia who volunteered and served at Catalyst Leadership Academy. SPECIAL PROJECTS: -3,500 victims of the earthquakes in Southern Phillipines received needed relief goods and mental health assistance. -6 Christmas Outreaches were conducted benefitting orphans, women in jail, tribal communities, blind students as well as families who were displaced by the earthquakes.
Ukraine: Orphanage: -Provided a full time residential care home in a family environment including daily care, meals, shelter, medical treatment, education, enrichment and spritual activities for up to 65 orphaned and abandoned children ages infant to 20 years old at Living Pearl Children's Home. In 2019, 2 children were placed in adoptive families; 3 young men excelled in sports and athletics earning awards with one receiving world champion in his class; 2 high schoolers graduated and began their higher education; 2 completed their college education and are successfully living independently. -Throughout the year, children in the home were involved in various events and activities designed to develop life skills, music and art appreciation, community service and social awareness, academic growth & learning as well as moral and spiritual development. Some notable events were participating in International Children's Day; art creation for Global Impact's 1st Art & Photography Auction which raised almost 2 months of operating expenses for the home; 3 boys attended IT camp over summer; excursions to the Black Sea and Blue Lake; and children's camp over summer. -An education drive provided school supplies, clothes, shoes & backpacks for all school age children living in the home. -A special Christmas celebration at the orphanage took place in the newly constructed Grace Dining Hall whose construction took the year to complete. A Christmas Eve outreach was conducted in the community with over 100 in attendance and a Christmas Day outreach provided 200 children with sweet gifts. The children in Living Pearl were involved in both outreaches. CHRISTIAN MINISTRY: The Christmas outreaches were expanded this year throughout Ukraine by partnering with local churches. The team visited 5 orphanges with food, gifts, and supplies. Over 50 children living in impoverished conditions were assisted and given a memorable Christmas. Throughout the year, Amy ministered in several churches, cities and conferences in Ukraine. A pastor's retreat was organized and held for the CLC and Foursquare network of churches. Freedom Ministry was launched in CLC Kiev.
