To expand employment and education opportunities for low income or at risk youth
Illinois YouthBuild programs provide a range of services for disadvantaged, unemployed and at-risk youth aged 16-24. Increasingly, programs are training young people in green construction skills and other green jobs to fulfill the need for greening America. During 2014, the organization received a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for the weatherization training program.
