Organizations Filed Purposes: TO ADVANCE EXCELLENCE IN EMERGENCY NURSING.

EDUCATION- ENA ACQUIRED THE EMERGENCY SEVERITY INDEX (ESI) FIVE-LEVEL EMERGENCY TRIAGE SYSTEM USED BY NEARLY EVERY NURSE IN THE UNITED STATES. ESI IS THE LEADING TRIAGE RESOURCE RELIED UPON BY NURSES TO ASSESS PATIENT ACUITY BASED ON THEIR PRESENTATION IN THE ED AND THE EXPECTED LEVEL OF CARE A PATIENT WILL REQUIRE.- THE TNCC 8TH EDITION WAS LAUNCHED WITH GREAT SUCCESS AND OFFERS NEW FEATURES SUCH AS VIRTUAL LEARNING MODULES AND AVATAR-BASED SIMULATION, INTERACTIVE TEACHING STRATEGIES AND FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL. WITH OVER 1 MILLION NURSES COMPLETING TNCC IN ITS 30-YEAR HISTORY, IT CONTINUES TO BE THE STANDARD FOR TRAUMA EDUCATION TRAINING FOR EMERGENCY NURSES.- OVER 15 NEW EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS WERE RELEASED AND INCLUDE IMPORTANT INTRODUCTION COURSES TO PEDIATRIC TRAUMA, ADULT TRAUMA AND GERIATRICS. - 16 POSITION STATEMENTS WERE PUBLISHED, AND 5 NEW PRACTICE RESOURCES WERE DEVELOPED ON HOT TOPICS LIKE OPIOIDS, PEDIATRIC READINESS IN THE ED, TRAUMA AND CLIMATE CHANGE. RESEARCH RELEASED 6 PUBLICATIONS WITH TOPICS RANGING FROM STAFFING, GERIATRIC READINESS IN THE ED, IMPACTS OF LEGALIZED CANNABIS, SUICIDE PREVENTION, EN RISK FOR FIREARM INJURY AND TRIANGULATION METHODOLOGY.- AN ENA COLLABORATIVE CAMPAIGN "NO SILENCE ON ED VIOLENCE" WAS IMPLEMENTED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO IMPROVE WORKPLACE SAFETY.

CONFERENCE:- A RECORD-BREAKING EN19 ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN AUSTIN, TEXAS WITH 4,000 EMERGENCY NURSES FROM AROUND THE WORLD WITH OFFERINGS OF 257 PREMIER EDUCATION SESSIONS, INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY, LEADING RESEARCH, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. 251 EXHIBITORS PARTICIPATED, A 14% INCREASE FROM 2018.

MEMBERSHIP- MEMBERSHIP IN THE EMERGENCY NURSES ASSOCIATION REACHED A RECORD HIGH OF OVER 44,000. WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON STUDENTS, NEW NURSES AND INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS. - A STRATEGIC REBRANDING WAS IMPLEMENTED TO ENSURE THE ENA BRAND REFLECTS AND ALIGNS WITH OUR STRATEGIC VISION AND WITH THE CHANGING LANDSCAPE OF EMERGENCY NURSING.
