Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE PURPOSE OF THIS ASSOCIATION IS TO BE A NONPROFIT ASSOCIATION OF FARMERS COOPERATING WITH OTHER FARM ORGANIZATIONS, OTHER FARM BUSINESS FARM MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATIONS AND WITH THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL, CONSUMER AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES OF THE UNIVESITY OF ILLINOIS AND WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXTENSION SERVICE TO PROMOTE EFFICIENT FARM MANAGEMENT THROUGH AN EXTENSION, RESEARCH AND SERVICE PROGRAM, AND OTHERWISE TO PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURAL WELFARE OF FARMERS IN ILLINOIS, PROVIDED THE ASSOCIATION SHALL NOT ENGAGE IN THE PRACTICE OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTING.
COOPERATOR SERVICES - CONSISTS OF ON-FARM ASSISTANCE IN SETTING UP BUSINESS RECORDS, INTERPRETATION OF RECORDS (INCLUDING A STATE COMPARISON), AND FARM MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION TO ASSIST THE COOPERATOR IN BUSINESS DECISIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE FARM FAMILY. ALSO THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS UNIFORMITY IN A STATE-WIDE DATABASE FOR COOPERATOR REPORTS AND USE IN RESEARCH OF MANY TYPES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS.
CHECK ACCOUNTING - THIS CONSISTS OF PREPARATION OF MONTHLY COMPUTERIZED RECORDING OF INCOME AND EXPENSES FROM THE COOPERATORS' BANK STATEMENTS AND CANCELLED CHECKS AND PREPARATION OF SUBSEQUENT REPORTS FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE FARM BUSINESS. CHECK ACCOUNTING ALSO INCLUDES ASSISTANCE TO COOPERATORS IN PURCHASING SOFTWARE AND SET-UP OF COMPUTER PROGRAMS, AND THEIR COMPUTER AND TRAINING NEEDED FOR THE COOPERATORS TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
MANAGED FARMS ACCOUNTING - CONSISTS OF REPORTING FOR LARGE FARMS THAT NEED THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:A. CHECKS WRITTEN.B. ACCOUNTING POSTED INTO A COMPUTER PROGRAM.C. PAYROLL COMPLETED.D. ACCOUNTING REPORTS PROVIDED, USUALLY QUARTERLY.E. MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS FOR IMPROVING FARM PRODUCTION.F. OTHER BOOKKEEPING AS DEMANDED BY THE FARM MANAGER.
