Organizations Filed Purposes:
To foster the intellectual and social development of disadvantaged youth in diverse communities throughout the City of Chicago through vibrant chess education programs, tournaments and events.
Sponsored chess classes, workshops, and tournaments provided free of charge to the participants. In some cases, restricted donations were used for these sponsored events.
Organized and ran over 20 tournaments including local, regional, and national competition including National All-Girls Championship, Greater Chicago K-12 Championship, Chicago Public Playoffs and Championships.
Worked with over 35 schools and community groups by providing a safe and social setting after school where we taught over 2500 students who realized the social and academic benefits of chess.
