Organizations Filed Purposes:
Crosswalk Community Action Agency administers a variety of programs that assist low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families. The intent is to provide services that promote and improve the level of self-sufficiency, while at the same time, addressing day-to-day needs.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs-The organization provides eligible applicants with financial assistance on their energy bills. Approximately 5,000 households were served.
Weatherization Program-The organization weatherizes homes and installs furnaces for eligible applicants. Approximately 70 households were served during the year.
Community Service Block Grant-This program provides many community services such as economic development through a revolving loan program, financial assistance for educational needs, emergency home repair, commodities for nutrition, free immunizations and other emergency services. Approximately 1,300 individuals received assistance through this grant.
