As members of the Britten School community, we strive to empower, challenge, and teach our students in the spirit of a traditional and safe school setting. With the future in mind, we collaborate to restore hope, promote achievement, and create pathways for success in life.
The Organization provides intense special education services to students. The mission of the Organization is to provide their students with the skills they need to return to their community and home school.
Britten School operates a special education program that has been approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for students that require additional attention in place of the public educational system. Britten School is organized into five grade divisions primary, intermediate, middle, junior high, and high school classes. An individualized education plan is developed for each student of Britten School which allows each and every student to engage in learning using a variety of settings and techniques. The classroom is the core of the school program and provides a unique blend of learning in academic and social and emotional realms. With the future in mind, we collaborate to restore hope, promote achievement and create pathways for future success in life for our students.
