Organizations Filed Purposes: The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Inc. ("OBAP") is a nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to motivate today's youth to become educationally prepared for life, to increase minority participation in aviation through exposure, training, mentoring and scholarships; to encourage networking among black pilots and aerospace professions while assisting them with their special needs and concerns.

Annual Convention, Membership Meetings and PPDP Program: The Professional Pilot Development Program (PPDP) assists pilots and other aviation professionals in making the right decisions with their career. The PPDP is currently divided into four categories: Mentorship, Job Placement, Fellowship, and Scholarship.

ACE, Flight Academies: The objective of the ACE program and flight academies is to offer young persons, ages thirteen through eighteen entry-level exposure to the aviation profession. Activities in the ACE Academies include model aircraft building, aircraft orientation flights, field trips to military and commercial facilities and various other aviation related activities.

Training and Development: OBAP provides funding to its members through scholarships for the purpose of successfully completing flight training and/or seeking employment through our career fairs.
