Organizations Filed Purposes: THE ARTS ALLIANCE CHAMPIONS AND SUPPORTS THE ARTS AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES - ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS AND CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES - TO ENSURE THAT WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI REMAINS A GREAT PLACE TO CREATE, LIVE, WORK, LEARN, PLAY AND VISIT.

FACILITATING PROJECTS AND ASSESSMENTS: THE ARTS ALLIANCE IS ENGAGED IN CONDUCTING NEEDS ASSESSMENTS FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL EDUCATION, MANAGING A NUMBER OF PROJECTS INCLUDING THESE: 1) ARTS & CULTURAL EDUCATION INTEGRATION FOR STUDENT EXCELLENCE (ACEISE) A PROJECT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WASHTENAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT (WISD) TO ENSURE THAT THE 47,000 STUDENTS ATTENDING SCHOOL IN WASHTENAW COUNTY HAVE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY, CONSISTENT, SEQUENTIAL AND STANDARDS-BASED EDUCATION THROUGH THE ARTS, CULTURE, DESIGN AND CREATIVITY BASED IN PRODUCTION/PERFORMANCE AND INTEGRATED EDUCATION IN CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR SETTINGS. 2) POWERART! IS A MULTIYEAR PROJECT TO WRAP 42 TRAFFIC SIGNAL BOXES IN DOWNTOWN ANN ARBOR WITH VINYL-PRINTED REPLICAS OF LOCAL ARTISTS' WORK. IN TOTAL WASHTENAW COUNTY-BASED ARTISTS WILL BE PAID $60,900 FOR THIS PROJECT. THE GOAL OF POWERART! IS TO POWER PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE ARTS THROUGH STREET-LEVEL COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.

REGION 9 REGRANTING ADMINISTRATOR:THE ARTS ALLIANCE IS AN ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS REGRANTING PROGRAM. IT SERVES REGION 9: HILLSDALE, JACKSON, LENAWEE, LIVINGSTON, MONROE AND WASHTENAW COUNTIES. THE ARTS ALLIANCE OFFERS TRAINING SESSIONS, SAMPLE NARRATIVES, BUDGETS AND AN ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM TUTORIAL. THE SAME IS PROVIDED FOR THE PEER REVIEW PANELS BEFORE THEY ARE CONVENED TO EVALUATE, SCORE AND DISTRIBUTE MINIGRANTS.

SERVICES TO ARTS AND CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS & BUSINESSES: THE ARTS ALLIANCE PROVIDES SERVICES AND PROMOTES THE ARTS AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES' PROGRAMS AND COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES THROUGH ITS MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM, A BIWEEKLY ONLINE ENEWSLETTER, PUBLISHES AND DISTRIBUTES THE ARTS + CREATIVE INDUSTRIES GUIDE AND CO-PRODUCES A WEEKLY RADIO SHOW, CREATIVE: IMPACT, ON WEMU 89.1 FM, FEATURING THE CREATIVE PEOPLE, JOBS AND BUSINESSES THAT ARE THE DRIVING FORCES MAKING OUR COMMUNITY ONE OF MICHIGAN'S STRONGEST AND MOST VIBRANT ARTS AND CREATIVE INDUSTRY HUBS. THE ARTS ALLIANCE MEDAL FOR ARTS, SCIENCES & HUMANITIES ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO HONOR AND CELEBRATE THE EXTRAORDINARY CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF WASHTENAW COUNTY ARTISTS, CREATIVES, INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE ARTS ALLIANCE MEDAL FOR ARTS, SCIENCES & HUMANITIES ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO HONOR AND CELEBRATE THE EXTRAORDINARY CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF WASHTENAW COUNTY ARTISTS, CREATIVES, INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS.
