PEERs major objective is to fund the activities and programs of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University in the Republic of Georgia while ensuring that it is a sustainable center of excellence in economics.

The ISET Policy Institute ISET-PI was founded in May 2011 by PEER with the financial support of the Think Tank Fund of the Open Society Institute. ISET-PI is one of the first university-based think tanks in the South Caucasus. It is based at the International School of Economics at TSU.
