Outreach East is a non-denominational agency helping individuals who present themselves or ar ereferred by other for assistance with groceries, shelter, utilities and other essentials. Outreach East networks with other agencies to coordinate and provide necessary services. Outreach East will support other agencies, institutions and churches by assisting thos in need of food, shelter, utilities, etc. Outreach East seeks to fulfill the christian walk being ever mindful that whatever we do to the least of our neighbors, we do to Christ.
Outreach East provided assistance to 5898 adults and children living in the Davison, Burton, Goodrich and Otisville, Michigan area with 156,143 pounds of food and personal items. We also provided clothing and gave monetary assistance for rent, utilities, medical and miscellaneous expenses. In addition to the expenses above, approximately $381,000 of items donated to Outreach East were also distributed to our clients.
Outreach East was able to assist 123 families with one month of utility assistance with a grant from United Way. All assistance was provided to clients in the Davison, Burton, Goodrich and Otisville, Michigan area.
