SC2 SUPPORTS TEACHERS AND LEADERS AT IMPROVING SCHOOLS TO GIVE MORE DETROIT CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE QUALITY EDUCATION.
SUPPORT FOR NEW PARADIGM FOR EDUCATION, SUPPORT NEW PARADIGM TO MEET THE TARGET NUMBER OF NEW HIGH QUALITY SEATS CREATED BY GROWING THE NUMBER OF SCHOOLS AND CHILDREN IT SERVES IN DETROIT BY BUILDING CAPACITY THAT ALLOWS THEM TO DEVELOP TALENT PIPELINES, TRACKING SYSTEMS, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS TO RECRUIT AND RETAIN EFFECTIVE TEACHERS AND LEADERS TO MATCH EXPECTED GROWTH NEEDS; FUNDING ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS, COACHING AND TRAINING, AND NETWORK LEVEL POSITIONS TO ACCELERATE IMPLEMENTING THE ACADEMIC MODEL FULLY; BUILDING CAPACITY AROUND MARKETING, ENROLLMENT AND DEVELOPMENT TO ENABLE THEM TO MORE EFFECTIVELY RECRUIT STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT STUDENTS; AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BOARD TO GOVERN AND GUIDE THE ORGANIZATION'S GROWTH.
SUPPORT FOR NEW LEADERS, SUPPORT THE TRAINING OF EMERGING SCHOOL LEADERS IN ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS OVER THE COURSE OF THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR TO STRENGTHEN THE DISTRICT'S PIPELINE OF FUTURE LEADERS. TRAINING CONSISTS OF BUILDING A COMMON UNDERSTANDING OF AND IDENTIFYING KEY INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP PRACTICES, DEVELOPING THOSE PRACTICES AND SHARED ACCOUNTABILITY, AND ENGAGING IN DATA ANALYSIS TO INFORM DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES.
