KEEP GROWING DETROIT'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS PROVIDE HUNDREDS OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND ONE-ON-ONE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SESSIONS TO THE GARDENERS AND FARMERS SERVED IN AREAS RANGING FROM NEW GARDEN DEVELOPMENT AND BASIC GARDENING TO FARM BUSINESS PLANNING, SEASON EXTENSION, AND MARKETING PRODCE. IN 2019, THESE PROGRAMS REACHED APPROXIMATELY 552 GARDENERS AND FARMERS.
THE THIRD PROGRAM, GROWN IN DETROIT, SUPPORTED GROWERS IN GAINING ACCESS TO FARMERS' MARKETS AND OTHER SALES OUTLETS. TOGETHER THESE GROWERS CONTRIBUTED OVER 15,000 POUNDS OF FRESH, LOCALLY-GROWN PRODUCE TO DETROIT'S FOOD SYSTEM.
