Organizations Filed Purposes: Live6 was founded for the purposes of combating community deterioration and blight, enhancing quality of life and encouraging economic development in the area of the City of Detroit bounded by the John C. Lodge Freeway, 8 Mile Road, Wyoming Avenue and Hamilton Avenue in Northwest Detroit with a specific focus on the Livernois and McNichols corridors.

Placemaking: Placemaking for Live6 Alliance curates some of the most visible changes to the Livernois/McNichols corridors and serves as a central focus for engaging the community and cultivating entrepreneurs. It incorporates all activities and events that create a sense of place along the commercial corridors and surrounding neighborhoods. Live6 placemaking efforts include Market on the Ave, the Detroit Neighborhood Arts Project, Facade Improvement and a series of quarterly cultural events.

Safety: Live6's current Safety initiative is centered around a Clean Corridor strategy that facilitates a regular corridor cleanup and includes temporary branded trash cans ahead of the permanent solutions that will be provided by the City of Detroit.

Engagement: Since its inception, Live6 Alliance has been focused on fostering relationships with community stakeholders. Community engagement crosscuts all the work of Live6 Alliance and is integral to all of the organization's objectives. Live6 proactively involves the community in all aspects of its work and aims for outcomes to represent true co-creation between Live6 and its surrounding communities.
