Red Ink Flint believes everyone is a maker. We help them make futures, make music, make businesses, and make community. We empower people of all ages to created, explore and perform.
Red Ink Flint has two signature programs community makerspace Factory Two and youth performing arts venue Flint Local 432
Factory Two is Flints community maker space, providing access to tools, equipment and training in a wide variety of areas. Sewing, screen printing, laser cutting, wood and metal shops, and blacksmithing are just a few programs.
Flint Local 432 is a youth-focused performing arts space that is open to the public for concerts, plays, films, fashion shows and more over 120 nights per year. Funding comes from ticket sales, grants, and fundraising.
Girls Rock is a national program that introduces young women to live music. During a one week camp 25 participants learn an instrument, form bands, write songs, and play a concert for family and friends. Funding is provided by a 6,250 grant from the Share Art Genesee fund.
