T.Lab realized strong, academic, parental, financial, programmatic and systems performances in FY 2019. In Summary, the following occured:Facilities: We moved into our new facilities in June 2019, 3500 Square Foot High Performance Learning Laboratory.Academic: Enhanced and improved training for Study Skills Course. Median ACT composite score of 30.7. Enhanced student coaching program, Character, Leadership and Development. 2 Students participated in Kettering Universities AIM Program. 2 Students participated in Oakland Universitys International Business Program.
Programmatic:Enhanced leadership training for young men. Enhanced leadership training for young women. Enhanced Parental Weekly Review System. Expanded Information Technology Training and Certification Program. Expandeded GED Training and Certification Program. Established new advanced computer science and advanced math programs. Maintained support for college student professional development. Established the 1st Medical Cohort to assist students with passing the MCAT test and gaining admission into medical school. Emily Hanlon, Ireana Cook, Denzel Smith, Celeste White and Akilah Johnson.
Systems:Enhanced policies governing use of T.Lab processes and systems. Identified and secured 1 additional tutor. Identified and deployed 3 new web based portals for math and science. Acquired and deployed 1 new IPAD Pro. Added 11 new Windows based computers. Acquired new application for academic regimen measurement (ATracker Pro). Enhanced leadership assessment portal for students. Enhanced communication portal for parents and students. Enhanced the Computer architecture and infrastructure including matrix switcher, a 55 TV monitor, communication closet and 5 additional cameras. Enhanced Website.Other Accomplishments:Launched National Goal - The Drive to 25. Enhanced National Advisory Board - for The Drive to 25 including, Maintained the Bishop B.A. Gilbert Leadership Award, Elder John Henderson. 6th Annual Black Tie Ball Honorees. Dr. Tony Lyons, Mrs. Elizabeth Griffith, Dr. Valerie Daniels-Carter and Dr. L.B. McCune.
