Organizations Filed Purposes:
Offering students a positive and productive opportunity to interact with professional muscians, actors and dancers in celebration of the performing arts through support of an active parent organization
Choreographers are brought in to work with the students throughout the year. Students attend numberous rehearsals working with these choreographers and incorporate dance routines in with their singing. Students then perform for a live audience several times throughout the year.
A summer workshop is held to promote the activities and to introduce students in the community to guest directors and choreographers. Musicians are brought in to provide live music. A program is held at the end of the week long workshop with a full performance.
Students compete during the year at other schools. The Grosse Pointe South Choir Boosters work to defray these costs for the students.
