Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROVIDE A HIGHLY EFFECTIVE THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS SO THEY CAN LEARN TO MANAGE THEIR SYMPTOMS, ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE, AND LEAD REWARDING LIVES.

ROSE HILL IS A RESIDENTIAL PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION FACILITY FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS. ITS COMPREHENSIVE AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAM IS BASED ON THE BELIEF THAT RECOVERY CAN TAKE PLACE WHEN PEOPLE RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL PSYCHIATRIC CARE AND PARTICIPATE IN MEANINGFUL ACTIVITY. ROSE HILL PROVIDES EDUCATION, THERAPY, MEDICATION, SUPPORT, AND TRAINING TO HELP PEOPLE ACHIEVE AND MAINTAIN THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE. ROSE HILL IS ACCREDITED BY THE JOINT COMMISSION.

THE CORE OF ROSE HILL'S SERVICE IS THE RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM. IN A STEP BY STEP PROCESS, ROSE HILL'S MENTAL HEALTH TEAM DIRECTS A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM, INCLUDING CLINICAL CARE, THERAPEUTIC WORK, JOB READINESS CLASSES, SOCIAL INTERACTION AND RECREATION. CONCURRENTLY, A PSYCHIATRIST WORKS CLOSELY WITH EACH RESIDENT TO DEVELOP AN EFFECTIVE MEDICATION REGIMEN. LENGTHS OF STAY ARE DETERMINED BY AN INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLAN. THE PROGRAM, WHICH IS LICENSED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 45 RESIDENTS AT A TIME INCLUDING THE CO-OCCURRING PROGRAM. SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2019:1) SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED TWENTY-FIVE RESIDENTS TO COMMUNITY SERVICES.2) NINE RESIDENTS TRANSFERRED TO OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM.3) TWENTY-THREE RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE FULL BENEFIT OF ROSE HILL PROGRAMMING.4) CONTINUED ON THE JOURNEY FOR ROSE HILL CENTER TO BECOME A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE OF TRAUMA INFORMED CARE FOR RESIDENTS AND STAFF ALIKE. 5) PROVIDED TRAINING FOR STAFF AND INITIATED A TRAUMA INFORMED CARE COMMITTEE THAT IS CONTINUING TO ASSESS AND IMPLEMENT POSITIVE CULTURAL AND CLINICAL CHANGES AT ROSE HILL CENTER.6) VALID MEASUREMENT TOOLS (BASIS 24 AND DLA 20) WERE UTILIZED AT DISCHARGE AND OUTCOME MEASURES AT 6 MONTHS, 12 MONTHS AND 18 MONTHS POST DISCHARGE. THE DATA SHOWED A 56% DECREASE IN SYMPTOMS FROM ADMISSION TO DISCHARGE AND A CONTINUATION OF THE DECREASED SYMPTOMS AT 12 MONTHS OF 48%.

ROSE HILL'S EXTENDED RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM PROVIDES UP TO 17 INDIVIDUALS AT A TIME WITH NECESSARY AROUND-THE-CLOCK SUPERVISION AND MEDICATION MONITORING IN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE SETTING. RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE IN STRUCTURED DAILY ACTIVITIES THAT ARE SELECTED BY THE GROUP. THIS PROGRAM IS LICENSED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2019:1) GRADUATED 2 LONG TERM RESIDENTS TO OUR SEMI-INDEPENDENT TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM.2) ASSISTED A LONG TERM RESIDENT TO OBTAIN PAID, GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT.3) INCREASE CHOICE OF ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTEER SITES TO INDIVIDUALIZE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES.4) ENGAGED 3 OF 4 CLIENTS AT ONE RESIDENCE IN OUR AUTISM TRACK.5) REMODELED A RESIDENCE TO PROVIDE FOR MORE PERSONAL SPACE, PRIVACY WITH MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION AND AN ADDITION TO INCREASE A HALF BATH TO A FULL BATHROOM IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A BETTER LIVING ENVIRONMENT.

THE TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM (TLP) IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE ACHIEVED A BASIC LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE, BUT NEED SOME SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE BEFORE MOVING BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY ON THEIR OWN. SHARING ONE OF SIX THREE-BEDROOM TOWNHOUSES LOCATED ON ROSE HILL'S CAMPUS, UP TO 14 TRANSITIONAL LIVING PARTICIPANTS AT A TIME CAN PRACTICE THEIR DAILY LIVING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INDEPENDENCE IN A FAMILIAR, SECURE ENVIRONMENT. THIS PROGRAM HELPS BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN ROSE HILL'S RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM AND OFF-CAMPUS LIFE. SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2019:1) SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED SEVEN RESIDENTS TO OUR COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM OR TO COMMUNITY SUPPORTS IN THEIR PREFERRED LIVING CHOICE.2) PLACED ALL PARTICIPANTS INTO MINIMALLY 15 TO 20 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER WORK, PAID EMPLOYMENT OR SCHOOL.3) THREE PARTICIPANTS WERE EMPLOYED FULL TIME WHILE AT OUR TLP PROGRAM AND DID OR WILL CONTINUE THEIR EMPLOYMENT ONCE DISCHARGED.4) HEALTHY EATING GROUPS, INDIVIDUAL NUTRITION COUNSELING AND VOCATIONAL SERVICES WERE ADDED AS A SERVICE FOR THE PARTICIPANTS.
