Young Kings and Queens is dedicated to the empowerment and inspiration of minority youth to live beyond the scopes of societal norms.
The organization hosts a housing and financial independence program known as BRIDGES, which stands for Building Relationships and Independence while Developing Economic Stability. When participating in the BRIDGES program, during the first phase the youth must live in a group setting where tey must adhere to the rules of the program, participate in programs offered by Young Kings and Queens, Inc., pursue their education or gain employment. In the second phase, young adults move into permanent housing with resources and support for sustainability. The facilities are currently under construction and are funded through private donations as well as private grants.
The organization provides summer and after school programs called ROYALS, which stands for Raising Our Youths Awareness About Life. This program provides life skills training, financial management workshops, employability and entrepreneurial skills training, job shadowing opportunity, college tours and idenity development.
The organization holds a boxing club called Heavy Hittas, designed to provide community and health and fitness options for children 13-19 years old.
