ANGELA HOSPICE PROVIDED $158,010 IN NON-REIMBURSED CHARITABLE CARE TO PATIENTS IN NEED.ANGELA HOSPICE IMPACTED INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING $250,639 IN BEREAVEMENT SERVICES, THROUGH 1,862 NON-REIMBURSED ONE-ON-ONE GRIEF COUNSELING SESSIONS, AND SUPPORT GROUP ATTENDANCE OF 1,535.
ANGELA HOSPICE'S TELEHOSPICE PROGRAM PROVIDES ADDED COMFORT AND SUPPORT TO HOSPICE PATIENTS AND THEIR CAREGIVERS IN THEIR HOME ENVIRONMENT, BY PROMOTING PERSONALIZED COORDINATED CARE, INCREASING EASE OF COMMUNICATION, AND DECREASING ANXIETY.ADDITIONAL CHARITABLE OUTREACH WAS DIRECTED TO GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY VIA THE FAITH EMPOWERMENT PROJECT, WHICH AIMS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. BY ENGAGING WITH CONGREGATIONS AND CONNECTING WITH 4,976 INDIVIDUALS WE ARE EQUIPPING THEM WITH INFORMATION AND INSIGHT ON THE END-OF-LIFE CARE. ANGELA HOSPICE IS WORKING TO REMOVE BARRIERS TO QUALITY CARE, EMPOWER PEOPLE TO ADVOCATE FOR THE CARE THEY WANT, AND ADDRESS SOME HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES IN THE PROCESS.FURTHER 1,357 INDIVIDUALS WERE IMPACTED BY EDUCATION AND SUPPORT RESOURCES THAT WERE PROVIDED TO LOCAL VETERANS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS THROUGH ANGELA HOSPICE'S PARTICIPATION IN THE WE HONOR VETERANS INITIATIVE, ADDRESSING THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF VETERANS AT THE END OF LIFE.
