Organizations Filed Purposes: TO BUILD HOMES FOR AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND THEN SELL THE HOME TO THE FAMILY WITH AN AFFORDABLE MORTGAGE THAT IS ISSUED UPON SALE.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PROGRAM - THE ORGANIZATION BUILDS HOMES FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES THROUGH THE EXTENSIVE USE OF VOLUNTEERS. NO INTEREST MORTGAGES ARE ISSUED ON EACH HOME UPON SALE. DISCOUNTED INTEREST IS RECORDED AND AMORTIZED OVER THE LIFE OF THE MORTGAGE. THE ORGANIZATION CONSTRUCTED FOUR NEW HOMES AND MORTGAGED TWO OF THOSE HOMES IN FY 2020: HOUSE 1 - THREE BEDROOM, ONE BATH - SERVICING ONE ADULT AND ONE CHILD (CONSTRUCTION CARRYING OVER FROM JUNE 30, 2019; CLOSED ON MORTGAGE SEPTEMBER 2019) HOUSE 2 - THREE BEDROOM, ONE BATH SERVICING ONE ADULT AND TWO CHILDREN (CLOSED ON MORTGAGE APRIL 2020) HOUSE 3 - THREE BEDROOM, ONE BATH SERVICING ONE ADULT AND ONE CHILD (CONSTRUCTION COMPLETED SPRING 2020 -- CLOSING DELAYED DUE TO COVID-19) HOUSE 4 - THREE BEDROOM, ONE BATH - SERVICING TWO ADULTS AND TWO CHILDREN (CONSTRUCTION CARRYING OVER FROM JUNE 30, 2019; CLOSED ON MORTGAGE AUGUST 2020)

RESTORE - THE ORGANIZATION ACCEPTS DONATIONS OF USED HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND RESELLS THEM. THE TARGET CUSTOMERS ARE THE ORGANIZATION'S PARTNER FAMILIES AND OTHER LOW INCOME FAMILIES. NET PROCEEDS FROM THE OPERATION ARE USED TO SUPPORT THE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PROGRAM.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION INITIATIVE WAS DESIGNED TO HELP U.S. AFFILIATES AS THEY WORK TO TRANSFORM NEIGHBORHOODS USING A HOLISTIC APPROACH. HABITAT AFFILIATES ARE JOINING RESIDENTS, NONPROFITS, BUSINESSES, LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, AND COMMUNITIES OF FAITH TO CREATE AND IMPLEMENT A SHARED VISION OF REVITALIZATION. NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION INITIATIVE AFFILIATES TAILOR WORK BEING DONE IN EACH NEIGHBORHOOD TO MEET ITS SPECIFIC NEEDS. AFFILIATES, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES, WILL DECIDE WHAT WORK NEEDS TO BE CARRIED OUT IN THEIR COMMUNITY. A WIDE ARRAY OF HOUSING SERVICES CAN BE TAPPED TO HELP TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES IN NEED, SUCH AS: - NEW, ENERGY-EFFICIENT HOUSE CONSTRUCTION. - REHABILITATION OF VACANT AND FORECLOSED PROPERTIES. - HOUSE REPAIRS FOR EXISTING LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS, THROUGH A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS AND CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS. - WEATHERIZATION TO MAKE EXISTING HOUSES MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND AFFORDABLE. DURING 2020, THE ORGANIZATION COMPLETED 25 REVITALIZATION PROJECTS IN THE CITY OF MIDLAND.
