In the calendar year 2018, in accordance with its mission of performing, advocating for, and teaching excellence in the musical arts, Akropolis gave 44 concerts for 8,800 audience members in 15 states; 53 educational events reaching 10,280 K-12 students; 23 university master classes and workshops for 710 college students; premiered 12 new musical works; and produced and executed its inaugural Together We Sound festival in Detroit, MI, which featured 14 events in a variety of spaces in the city including 3 high school outreach events, 3 elementary school outreach events, 3 workplace concerts, 2 pop-up concerts, and 3 full-length concerts in collaboration with other artists in Detroit.
