Peruvian American Medical Society Endowment Fund is a nonprofit organization created to unite Peruvians and citizens of the United States and other countries to improve medical, cultural and educational collaboration for the benefit of Peruvians residing in Peru.
Unite Peruvian physicians to improve medical education and cultural relations between Peru and U.S. to sponsor/promote projects/activities that improve health/quality of life for Peruvian and American citizens
During this fiscal year PAMSEF continued supporting the Chincha Medical Center, adding specialties needed in the area like Ophthalmology and Mental Health the Center is open 6 days a week to care for indigent patients. PAMSEF sponsored medical missions in Iquitos, Rio Momon, Yantalo, Ayacucho, Collique, Pisco, Santiago de Chuco, Huancavelica/Lircay and Lima Heart Surgery at Hospital Dos de Mayo. Funds were collected to help a Center for Disabled Children 0-3 years in Tarapoto, and to renovate/update the School of Medicine of San Fernando in Lima and the Emergency Room in Iquitos. The Amazona/Andahuaylillas Fund is setting up a library and the Selva in Action Mission organizes Dental Missions. During PAMSEFs annual convention, a Scientific Program was presented to local students and physicians in Tarapoto. A radio program of medical information has been established in Chincha.
